BIOGRAPHY:

The Ohlson Family Roadshow is an American Jazz band based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. With origins in New York State, the band is led by Kyle Ohlson and has strong roots in the folk musics of the United States. Mr. Ohlson has himself made appearances at The Buskers World Cup in South Korea (Jacky Blaire & The Hot Biscuits), The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (The Slick Skillet Serenaders), the National Jug Band Jubilee (TSSS), as well as the renowned French Quarter Festival in New Orleans (THB). The Ohlson Family Roadshow itself has had the honor of performing at a growing list of international festivals, including The Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle (Swing Dance Hall), The Ferrara Buskers Festival in Italy, as well as Buskers Braunschweig in Germany. These performances coincided with the release of the self-titled recording “The Ohlson Family Roadshow”. With significant experience in street performing (busking), the sound of the band is a unique blend of Traditional Jazz styles and early American blues & folk. Outside of his upbringing in the United States, Mr. Ohlson’s time living in Asia, Europe the Caribbean has had a significant impact on the music of the band. Spring 2026 will mark the beginning of The Roadshow’s second European Tour.
